BREAKING: Feds expand Medicaid coverage to most released inmates in halfway houses

  About 100,000 released prison inmates in halfway houses will be eligible for Medicaid benefits under a new federal policy announced Thursday. That means the released inmates in states where they would be eligible for Medicaid should now have access to health care, mental health and substance abuse treatment.
