BREAKING: Obama to send up to 250 more military personnel to Syria

  President Obama on Monday announced that up to 250 additional U.S. military personnel will be deployed to Syria in a non-combat role, to keep up momentum against the Islamic State. Obama made the announcement in a speech in Hannover, Germany, on the last day of a week-long foreign trip that included Saudi Arabia and Britain. He said the additional troops will provide training and assist local forces in the fight against the extremist group.
