High levels of lead were found in the water after the city switched its supply to Flint River. Charged are Michigan Department of Health and Human Services workers Nancy Peeler, Corinne Miller and Robert Scott, and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality employees Leanne Smith; Adam Rosenthal and Patrick Cook, according to testimony Friday morning in Flint's district court. They are charged with hiding unsafe lead levels. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette and Todd Flood, the Royal Oak attorney heading the attorney general's investigation, have called an 11:30 a.m. news conference to further discuss Friday's criminal charges.
