| Attorney General Loretta Lynch, speaking in the aftermath of the shootings in Dallas in which five police officers were killed and seven were wounded during a protest over recent police-involved shootings of African Americans, said Friday, "This has been a week of profound grief and heartbreaking loss." Lynch added, "Above everything, we must remind ourselves that we're all Americans. . Do not let this week precipitate a new normal in this country."
