| | The suspect killed in a standoff with Dallas police has been identified as Micah X. Johnson, 25, of Dallas, a law enforcement official told USA TODAY. The gunman opened fire on police officers late Thursday during a protest over recent police-involved shootings. Five officers were killed. Seven other officers were wounded and two civilians were also injured. The official, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the case, provided the information on condition of anonymity.
