BREAKING: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence formally accepts GOP nomination for vice president

  Mike Pence gave his vice presidential acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday. While a known commodity in Washington, the Indiana governor and former congressman is largely unknown on the national stage. A CBS News poll taken this month found that 86% of were undecided or didn't know enough about him to have an opinion. Since being announced as Donald Trump's running mate last week, Pence has tried to smooth over differences between the pair on such issues as trade, his vote for the war in Iraq and whether Muslims should be banned from the United States.
