BREAKING: Minn. Gov. Dayton calls White House to request Justice Dept. investigation into police shooting of Philando Castile

  Governor Mark Dayton called White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough to "request that the U.S. Department of Justice begin an immediate independent federal investigation" into the police shooting of Philando Castile, according to a statement from the governor's office. Castile was a 31-year-old black man fatally shot during a traffic stop Wednesday in Falcon Heights, Minn.
