After some stumbles on the first night, Republicans attempted to reclaim the narrative on the second day of the GOP convention in Cleveland. Highlights: 1. The Republican party formally nominated Donald Trump as its candidate for president in a tightly controlled roll call vote. 2. Two of Trump's children, Tiffany and Donald Jr., vouched for him, and they made a fairly compelling case. 3. Speaker after speaker denounced presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, but none more so than New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. He laid out the case against Clinton on everything from the Iran deal to emails. Delegates at various times chanted "lock her up." Follow USA TODAY for ongoing coverage of the four-day event.
