BREAKING: El Cajon police release officer-involved shooting video, hoping to 'calm the community's concern'

  Authorities say rumors and protests following an officer-involved shooting that left an unarmed black man dead prompted them to release footage of the incident. "We came to this decision based on our collective concern for the public safety," said Jeff Davis, chief of El Cajon, Calif., police. His department previously said Alfred Olango had pulled out an e-cigarette and pointed it at an officer before being shot.
