BREAKING: Army ordering review of top officers accused of misconduct

  The security clearances of top brass will be reviewed whenever senior officers are investigated for misconduct, Army Secretary Eric Fanning told USA TODAY on Friday. The new approach to clearances that allow access to national security secrets stems from a USA TODAY report on a senior officer fired from his job last spring because of personal misconduct but allowed to retain his clearance for several months.
