| | Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi announced Sunday that he will resign after conceding defeat in a referendum on his proposed constitutional changes. Renzi had said he would resign if the measure - aimed at simplifying how laws are passed - fails. As a result, the yes-or-no vote was also viewed as a vote on Renzi, the country's youngest premier. Early results and exit polls show it trailing. Renzi said he will submit his resignation Monday, Reuters reported.
