BREAKING: Retired general John Kelly to be tapped as Homeland Security secretary

  Retired Marine general John Kelly, the former head of U.S. Southern Command, is President-elect Donald Trump's choice to head the Department of Homeland Security. The 66-year-old Kelly retired earlier this year. He has been critical of some Obama administration decisions, such as the plan to close the detention site at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
