| | Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a cease-fire deal has been reached in Syria. He said Russia, an ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, and Turkey, which backs the opposition, will guarantee the agreement. A nationwide cease-fire will start at midnight, Russian and Syrian state media reported.
