| Steve Bannon, the chief strategist for President Trump, has been removed from the National Security Council's principals committee in a new presidential memorandum. A White House official said Wednesday that Bannon had been placed on the committee as a check on the previous national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who was fired by Trump in February.
