BREAKING: U.N. Security Council unanimously approves new sanctions on North Korea, although without oil import ban favored by U.S.

  The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved new sanctions on North Korea Monday in a watered-down resolution without the oil import ban or international asset freeze that the Trump administration wanted. Earlier, North Korea warned that the United States would feel the "greatest pain" if it pushed ahead with the sanctions.
