BREAKING: Ryan says he would step down as convention chair if Trump asks

  In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, House Speaker Paul Ryan said he would step aside as chairman of the July Republican National Convention in Cleveland if Donald Trump makes the request. Ryan said last week that he was not yet ready to throw his support behind Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, and the two are scheduled to meet Thursday in Washington. In the interview, the Wisconsin Republican also said he is against a Republican mounting a third-party challenge to Trump in the fall.
