BREAKING: An airplane transporting a Brazilian soccer team to Medellin, Colombia, crashed, officials say

  Colombian authorities are responding to a plane crash early Tuesday, according to the Jose Maria Cordova airport's Twitter account and local media reports. The plane was carrying 72 passengers and nine crew members aboard, including the Chapecoense Brazilian soccer team that was expected to Copa Sudamerica finals against Atletico Nacional on Wednesday in Medellin. The airport says there were survivors.
